WHO CAN YOU TRUST WHEN MAKING PURCHASES ONLINE?

When you shop online, how do you go about determining which online merchants are trustworthy?
How do the methods that you use differ from merchants you visit when you walk into a store for the first time?
Are consumer advocacy groups or the government the better choice for regulating online transactions? Why?

            - Almost everyone likes the idea of making purchases online, but unfortunately the internet can be a battlefield. The trustworthy of online merchants can be determined by knowing some of their basic information such as name and address. Also, if the merchant is popularly known, it means that many trusts the merchant in his or her goods or services. Methods that I use in online shopping are almost the same when it’s my first time to walk in into a store, they only differs on how I purchase them. Online shopping is an electronic commerce wherein transaction is made online. While in a store, you can easily purchase the goods at that moment. Consumer advocacy groups are better, this means that it is a trustworthy web site to purchase goods. There are ways to ensure that you are best protected on the internet, one way is to limit the online purchases that you make to a single transaction. There is a lot of risk to both the buyer and seller with online purchases. Make sure that you are always conscious of the risks when shopping on the Internet, and only deal with merchants that you can trust.
